We provide detailed site maps of the electrical, gas, sewer, water and data utilities, so your team can avoid subsurface hazards before they dig.

Better so, GPRS provides a more complete and accurate evaluation of job sites, locating both subsurface public and private utility lines. GPRS takes pride in providing high-value, accurate utility locating services, and with project managers in every major metro area across the country, can offer them at your job site within hours.

3 Key Issues to Consider

Safety of your team

The biggest reason to employ a utility locating service like GPRS on your project is to help keep your team safe from the result of an accidental utility strike. Severe injury, or death, can occur if they make contact with a live electrical line or high-pressure gas line. The only way to be 100% sure you won’t strike electrical, gas, sewer, water and data utilities is to get a complete and accurate utility locating map of the job site before you start, and the only way you can get that is by hiring a utility locating contractor like GPRS. Don’t become a part of a failed statistic by trying to cut corners on a project. Let’s be safe, not sorry!

Lost business

The mainstay of any good construction company is repeat business from happy customers. With the multitude of technologies GPRS uses, we can scan for buried private utility lines, including electrical, gas, sewer, water and data lines. There is no reason to risk losing good customers over ignoring a fundamental project checklist item like a subsurface utility scan. Call BEFORE you dig!

Unexpected downtime

If you do accidentally cut a post tension cable or damage a gas line, you will be required to pay for the repairs. Worst of all, the site may be deemed unsafe, which could cause costly delays in project completion. It may only be a day or two, but even a single hour of downtime will begin costing you money, unnecessarily. The possibility of compounding scheduling delays will occur since certain tasks have to be completed before others can take place. Keep your project on time and on budget with the utility locating services of GPRS.
